This condensed version of 452 pages is a very very interesting story from the Urantia book of 2,097 pages. But it brings out the story so much better than the King James version of the story ... but the stories speak so much better and "feels" a lot more Life like. I'm pretty sure its not for fundamentalist Christians ... but if you can just free up preconceived notions and just follow the story, if only for the story of Jesus it just might leave you with a ah-ha moment. It is a very good and positive story/history of events that effect us all in the end ... what is possible to happen after our Life ends. The whole story is much more than just about Jesus. All of my waking Life I've heard and read the story of events that happen in the Bible, but I was always left with more questions than I ever got answers to ... it seemed absolutely cryptic and plagued with abysmal misunderstanding issues. And to add to the problems with the King James version, it seems pretty spooky and down right negative. Enter then but by sheer dumb luck the Urantia ... which is a long story in itself with a lot of detail ... 2097 pages ! Then all of a sudden "The Urantia Revelation" fell my way. It just cuts to the chase and arrives by the end with a very believable ... some may say fiction ... history of how the earth became what it is and how the peoples of the Earth ( Urantia ) came about. It fills in a lot of gaps that are in the Bible. I find it far more reliable and by far and away more positive as a Life enhancement. As weird as Life can be and in some regards unbelievable, it should not stop one from asking questions and looking for answers to questions never answered. Life is so very short ... by the time one begins to figure it out its time to transition from this Life to what ever ... if anything ... is next. I found a ( one of many ) nugget from the Urantia to leave you with : " Evil is dependent on a deficiency of wisdom." But wisdom can often be found in the most unlikely places ... all of the books above are tools towards knowledge but one must take the time to first look.

"Incredible, Awesome, and Stupendous" come to mind in trying to describe my reaction to this great book.Without adding to, or subtracting from the Cosmology, Theology and History revealed in the Urantia Book - and (perhaps more importantly) without "dumbing it down" the author has made the dense material contained in the Urantia Book eminently accessible.I cofidentially recommend this book for all potential, new, and experienced Urantia Book readers.Kudos to the author!

The beginning is hard to follow but when the book starts into the chapters it’s good, the narrator is a little monatone at times but it’s good as far as I’ve gotten in the book!

As a Catholic, I found parts of this book revelatory. But the many pages that describe the history of Jesus seem to me quite protestant in viewpoint. For instance, there’s hardly a mention of the mother of Jesus, as if to say she was insignificant. Also, no mention of the Eucharist, and yet the apostles and early church recognized “the body and blood of Christ.” I recommend this book to anyone seeking the truth but rest assured, it is not THE BOOK, because there is no THE BOOK.

Some of the recipes that stood out for me were the Lavender Crème Brulee, Asparagus Risotto, Paleo Vegetable Soup and for meat lovers the Root Beer Pulled Pork looks sensational.I'm really going to enjoy this book.Thank you!

Loved it! I wasn't going to read this one because I didn't want to start another series, (The Alphabet Mail-Order Brides,) but I read everything Kathleen Ball writes, so I downloaded and read it. So glad I did because it was also the 3rd book in (Mail Order Brides of Spring Water) and I enjoy that series too. Good Storyline, wonderful characters and kept my interest all the way through. So now, since I enjoyed it so much, will be reading the rest of the series. JudyE

A very creative and entertaining story and series. Multiple authors came together to creative a series using the whole alphabet to name women and turn tell their stories. Very exciting and enjoyable. I have yet to find a book by Kathleen that isn't entertaining and exciting. Try this series and find new and creative authors. I highly recommend this book and this series and all title's by Kathleen.

Kathleen Ball has another hit with this story, which continues with her series mail order brides of spring waters. The story continues to develop with each character.

I had a Kindle Unlimited edition of this book and was profoundly disappointed. I have read other stories by Kathleen Ball and have always enjoyed them. The two stars are for the story itself. The lack of the other three is for the excessively poor editing which made reading difficult. I understand that someone else wrote about this and it was supposed to have been fixed, but either I had downloaded my copy before the fix went in or Amazon never put in the fixed version.

Glory came to Texas at the most tremulous time. Freed slaves were trying to survive and angry former slave owners were trying to destroy their progress. Coming from New York, she wasn't used to the open hatred.And when her hisband's former mother in law dumps a baby boy on her lap, she finds out how a mother's love transcends all heartaches.This story stirs emotions and makes the soul happy to read about her selfless love for children of all colors.

I've enjoyed the stories in this new series, but this was a painful read. The run-on sentences, omitted words, missing punctuation, and endless editing errors made this difficult to finish. The item that put me over the edge was the word platelets instead of pantalets during the fire ant scene. Using ABC check is not a substitute for decent editing! I'm just glad I didn't pay for the book, but got it through KU.

I realize there were an equal number of people who saw people but it was still a dark legacy for all Texans now.I liked that Kent was so patient with Glory and the other women promised to help her. Being the new one is very difficult.

Glory has to leave the orphanage where she grew up. She is to marry and start a school of her own. The day she married Kent, she became a mother also. A toddler is delivered to Kent saying the boy was his son. Someone is set in keeping the school from being started. She and Kent keep helping to get the school set up. Now they can be happy as a family
