A very enlightening book that seeks and finds the truth about Islam and Christianity. This book is not about hate or fear of the Muslim people but rather helps us to understand their culture and beliefs in a compassionate way while still uncovering the unsettling truths about Mohammad and Islam.

An amazing story about the soul searching journey of devout and honest muslim to the truth about Christ. He finds that all he was taught as he grew up in the islamic faith was untrue. God, through christian friends, historical searching and visions/dreams reveals the truth about Islam. This book changed my concept about muslims. I used to look at all of them as part of the worldwide jihad and painted them all with that broad brush.After reading this book I realized that that the majority of them are waking up each day seeking to serve God and not themselves. Each day teaching their children to be honest, to work hard, to hold onto a moral character in their lives. These have good hearts and are honestly searching to serve God. The problem is, as he found out, that Islam serves the wrong god. What a great and revealing of the truth about Islam.

A culturally informative, well-written autobiography. I appreciated that his Muslim family are very loving and the sect that his family adhered to is a peaceful one. As an American it shames me that he felt like an outsider throughout his childhood. It also shames me that his education in Islam is so much stronger than the education Christians (or probably other religions in the US) provide for our/their children.

If you honestly want to understand our Muslim neighbors, this book is highly informative and written in a positive, understanding way. Very eye opening. Muslims raise their children to be fully devoted to their faith. Much more dedicated than any other faith I am aware of.

A wonderful, educational book about one man’s journey into his beliefs. He, a faithful Muslim, became good friends with a Christian, they began a dialogue on differences in beliefs. Their discoveries are discussed quite thoroughly, causing Qureshi to delve further into his early education about Islam. And the things he wasn’t taught. Intriguing for those of us not familiar with Islam. Also, Christianity is delved into and reasons for their faith is compared. A great book for all to read, including Christians and Muslims. Very readable, as well.

I found this book very informative and fascinating to read. It actually strengthened my relationship with Christ. Despite having to introduce many new terms, the author was very clear in explaining about his childhood religion, Islam.

Compelling apologetics arguments for the historicity of the New Testament, character of Jesus, and validity of Biblical claims written in a readable narrative style. I was engaged by the story of Nabeel's life and his gradual struggles with the claims of his strongly-held faith in Islam. This version provides extra, more in-depth references by experts on each topic in the appendix. Dr. Qureishi (RIP) was an Oxford PhD in New Testament history and it shows!

Before he died of stomach cancer, Nabeel Qureshi detailed the life of a devout Muslim on a quest to know God as much as he could. As he peeled back the layers of teaching he'd received, he found deception and emptiness, especially as he laid potential Christian faith alongside his experience. He was grieved to find his Muslim heritage lacking, especially as he was finding distance growing between himself and his loved ones. Now, his death has given him the answers we all eventually find.
