Imagine you have an electronic domestic helper that you can access, turn on and off just by uttering a word or clapping one or twice and that's what Alexa is and I was really surprised and pleased to see that one of the guides I purchased resulted in putting Alexa on my Kindle Fire when I downloaded it and i read the whole book and found it would be helpful if it had a cheat sheet for commands for such as drop in and what words to use for things you use often and It is also a good reminder for those who have owned Echo for a while.

There were only 16 reviews when I selected this book, all 4s and 5s. So I expected more than the same information that is readily available on Amazon. Not so. This is, as the title says, a quick reference, very quick and short. Maybe I was expecting too much. But I was hoping to learn a bit about how to use Alexa with other appliances, such as lights. It has nothiing on that. Don't waste your money on this one.

My Alexa never worked. It is no good, it never even changed to proper color after being plugged in for weeks. It is a piece of garbage or just a defective unit.

If you are considering purchasing this book for a child who is in the amazon recommended "Age Range: 4 - 8 years" READ THIS REVIEW BEFORE BUYING. I bought this book for my 5 year old son based on the story: a young boy dresses like a ninja, takes on his fear of the monster in the closet and makes friends with the monster. This book certainly delivered the very simple story, but it also delivered something I was not expecting.When the boy is trying to capture the monster, the book describes how the monster becomes scared, "AND RIPS A MASSIVE F*RT!" Yes, it actually has that word in the book in huge letters, with these five quoted words taking up an entire page. I try to keep my son from using words like those at home in order to keep him from using those kind of words away from home. Thank goodness I read the book first before I read it to him.In my opinion, this book would be good for a teenager, NOT for the recommended "Age Range: 4 - 8 years, Grade Level: 1 - 3" in amazon's product description. Your mileage may vary, and that's fine, but I wish a review had existed to warn me before I bought this book.

My little cousin has wanted this for awhile so I looked it up on Amazon and found it at $4 and some cents so I grabbed ahold of that deal. I can't wait to surprise her for her 10th birthday. The book is in perfect condition.

My daughter loves this book. She was starting to get scared of monsters in her room so we bought her a few books that talk about monsters. She loves this one in particular because the monster farts which she thinks is funny (she's 3).

Got this for my 1.5yr nephew for Christmas. The illustrations had great design with great bright colors, and the story completed on a great positive message (as kids books often do). I flipped through it before mailing it out, and even as an adult, I thought it was a fun read.

Love this book! Great story and reads with a purpose. We read a lot and I enjoy the catchy stories that lead themselves to the next page. My son loves this story so much that we bought this copy to take on vacation! Teaches about bravery and facing fears!

This was a great price, so I grabbed it. I’m so glad I did - my toddler loves it and was giggling throughout!

It's a very good book for kids 3 and up.

My daughter loves this book, we have read it at least six times in less than a week already.

And being a mother myself. I understand her feelings and I got teary when he found out Dean was his. Such a sweet little guy. It pulls at my heart SO easily.Book 2? The extra book. Not so much. To starchy. It was plain boring and took FOR-E-V-E-R to they through. I had to just skip and go to book three. I think Punished is some of her earlier work. Because the style of her writing is different from book two.Book three - The Dom’s Virgin. That was fun. Witty. The banter. I love banter between a heroine and her love interest. But also the friend. Lacey cracked me up. Over all - I got my money’s worth with the three books for one price. Thumbs up. I like her work and her writing. I’d buy more.

Normally, if I found a story to be a bit unbelievable, I'd knock off at least a star. I want to be cocooned in another world, another life, when I read and I just don't find that possible if the story feels fake.That said, this book is clearly make believe. The characters don't pee or have to deal with things just not working out in a catastrophic way. It's a fairy tale. Thing about fairy tales is that I wanted to believe them when I was a child and this is the kind of fairy tale I want to believe as an adult; because, this is really a grown up girl meets prince, prince punishes girl kind of fairy tale. All were of similar quality and enjoyable in their own right. I have to admit I was pleasantly surprised that I finished all three as I usually find that any additional "bonus" materials included by the author are old material added merely to pad out the size of the book. These books were all as delectable as the first.Great fantasy material for a woman who is sometimes still an overlooked plain little girl inside sometimes.

OK, so having immediate sex with a stranger is not something we would ever do in real life. Now that we've got that disclaimer out of the way, I loved the story. I don't read my romances with reality in mind. I want insta-love, hot sexy scenes, and strong men who will care and love their women, even if the woman doesn't need that and can take care of herself. I've read the book before this in the series and enjoyed it as much as this one. Just to be clear, there are 3 books in the series, but they are unconnected characters, so there is no harm in reading them in whatever order you'd like. I'll be heading to the final book soon. Another bonus is that there is additional content within the book, so it's a great deal!

I bought this book awhile ago and only read the “knocked up by the dom” book. I found the secret baby aspect of the story entertaining but the kink was boring and unoriginal. It was an okay short story.I also did not realize that my purchase came with two extra stories. I decided to finish this book now because I was going to be on vacation soon and didn’t want to start the books I really wanted to read before I was officially off so I could savory them. After reading story #2 and #3, I have to say I was bored and a bit disgusted with the idea behind bdsm.Whatever floats your boat then good on you, but I want romance! Over the top, insta-stupid romance. With a side of dirty sex, of course. Bdsm is not in anyway appealing to me. Hitting in anyway is not appealing to me! The author put a huge emphasis on trust being what bdsm is about that I kept rolling my eyes. Each story had these stupid female characters just trusting that a handsome billionaire wouldn’t hurt them. It was ludicrous!Just because a person is rich or good looking or sexually skilled doesn’t make them romance leads. There HAS to be more to the character then that. I will say that in the third book it was more the falling in love, getting to know you, part of a romance but then the “playroom” was brought out so excessively that I was reminded why I didn’t like this book. SmhI have no idea why bdsm is this whole “playroom and toys” thing about it. In book three the male lead was very versatile in NOT utilizing all of the props. He just thought about it a lot. Which shows that a playroom and toys aren’t necessary. It’s just a stupid twist to sell books. And it makes it seem like only rich people can afford to really be bdsm people.That’s another thing, I’m not interested in the life styles of the rich. I don’t read romance for that. And the statistics show that the most successful romance stories are about regular working class people and not the uber rich. Being rich doesn’t lead to HEA’s.Last but not least, if you are selling a secret baby romance for the bdsm crowd then ALL the extra books included should have a secret baby plot line too! I’m just saying.To end, I haven’t even touched on all the things wrong with each individual story either. Story #2 just grossed me out, it was borderline psychotic. Story #3 was so unrealistic from plot premise, to problem solution, to HEA, it was just garbage. Smh

The first book was pretty good. Second book was ok. Third book was pretty ridiculous. The writing is good, but sometimes stilted, and many of the plot points require extreme acrobatics to suspend disbelief. Especially in the third book. He's hospitalized after an attempt on his life... was unconscious for a week... then the Dr says he's all lucky that all he had were some cuts and bruises? Then he's in the hospital for another week? After that, I lost track of the whatever's I said.I'd recommend the first book for a light read, the second one of you have time to kill. Do yourself a favor and skip the third one though.

I have been researching this for a while. I have also been listening to a crowdfunding podcast and talking to a crowdfunding agency. This book covered all the points that I have been learning about from multiple sources, yet did not have any fluff to waste your time. It covers pre, during and post points to consider.Update. After completing a successful crowdfunding campaign my recommendation of this book still stands! I got it on Kindle and it was super convenient to read.

Although the the writer gives good suggestions and blueprint for a successful campaign, this book is geared to major campaigns with staff and substantial upfront money. The number of professionals and support staff he envisions to hire would not suit a small one or two person effort. The concept of multiple party hostings to recruit big supporters and reward them would mean over half your money would go to recruitment and 30% to rewards , and little to the actual project.

I just finished reading Step by Step Crowdfunding: Everything You Need to Raise Money from the Crowd for Small Business Crowdfunding and Fundraising Kindle Edition by Joseph Hogue, and what I can say about this book is that it is everything that it sells itself to be. It is a simple step by step guide in fundraising that is simple to use and understand.Other fundraising guides are written above your head, using language that makes it very difficult to follow. If your not a member of NASA or some large Corporation than that kind of jargon is going to be above your head. This author is very aware of that however, as he uses casual language to communicate his ideas on how fundraising is a method in raising cash that should not be overlooked simply because your not a multi million dollar Corporation.If you utilize his ideas in his simple to follow format you are going to find that you will have an additional source of revenue for your business that shouldn't be overlooked. The books format is laid out in an easy to read simple to digest form that makes going through the crowd-funding process that much easier. It's very well put together. 5 stars.

This book beautifully explains the six important facts needed to be successful in crowdfunding. Whether it is a small business or a large business, a good social network and teamwork play major roles. The book covers all major aspects of crowdfunding from start to end. Highly recommond this book to the people who really want to understand what is crowdfunding.

This is a brilliant step by step guide on how to do do crowdfunding. Having worked at a nonprofit, these tips would have come in handy to get donations or financial assistance for needed supplies or equipment. I've seen other books with the subjects and even done some webinars but they didn't go as in depth as this book with tips and information. Definitely recommend!

I couldn't be happier with this book. I researched and downloaded the first chapter of about 10 different crowdfunding books and was thrilled to choose this one. It doesn't waste any space and addresses many of the issues you face when approaching this form of investment in an idea or new product. It is encouraging without being pie-in-the-sky. I'm going to use the knowledge I've gathered in it to crowd-fund my book, Tessalation!

This book gives much context to your esoteric role in the function of the lodge which only serves to illuminate the importance of your office exoterically. The book went on to highlight the ceremonies of the Royal Arch and having just witnessed a Mark Master degree on Monday Night at Mt Vernon William R Singleton Chapter I further understand even more the significance of the veils. There are some references to the symbolism and regalia of English Masonry not present in American Masonry that does prompt me to do additional research on the differences between the two.

MacNulty's intellectual text "Freemasonry A Journey...".This is a timeless text for Freemasons and non-Masons alike. When we learn from mistakes, we avoid making them again. When we learn to pace ourselves, we make the world better for those around us. As men what we most owe to our families is a better man. In short God has charged us to rise to Him and Freemasonry can help us serve Him. If we choose to see.I recommend taking this book down at least once a month to read a random chapter. Remember our charge: learn to subdue our passions, learn to be better men.

This book is a must read for Masons who want to understand what the Fraternity is about. It is more than going to meetings once a month. It is a guidebook to a life style for Masons. It can be a little difficult to read as it written in an older style of writing. I am glad I had a chance to purchase this book and I will be passing it on to officers in my lodge.

I love Wilmshurst and I would strongly recommend this book for any Brethren who are truly looking to engage in the Craft with a deeper and spiritual approach. The Craft, although enjoyed on many level, truly has spiritual and deeper meaning than most Lodges currently acknowledge. This book should help shed more light to any Brother who wants to begin to understand/explore some of the hidden meanings of the Ritual, the Lodge, and the Symbols.Books like this, although written some time ago, should help pave the way for the Masonic future.SMIB.

I'm a swing dancer (lindy hopper) and this book was so helpful and interesting. I didn't know about a lot of the origins of phrases we use now, or realize that certain people knew each other. The writing style is friendly and engaging; I would probably enjoy this book even if I weren't a dancer.

Very good condition even if it's second hand! Came faster than planned.I just loved this book, will read it again, Frankie Manning is so funny and It's been a real pleasure to read all of his swinging adventures!

I have been a student and admirer of Frankie Manning's ever since my first dance lesson with him almost ten years ago. Frankie is a legendary dancer, an innovator and pioneer in the dance form called "Lindy Hop" that started in the Jazz Age in the streets of Harlem and continues to this day in clubs, schools and dancehalls all over the world.I've been hearing Frankie tell his inspiring stories for a long time now, but never with this rich detail and the larger historical context provided by Ms. Millman to back them up.From his days as a child at rent parties to the heyday of the Savoy Ballroom to performing internationally with the dance troupe Whitey's Lindy Hoppers, you follow the exciting growth of a young dancer. Then we follow Frankie into the war years and his dropping out of the swing world for several decades. Fortunately in the 1980s, Frankie is coaxed out of retirement and continues to do this day to teach and inspire others about this wonderful dance.Throughout it all, you cannot help but be touched by Frankie's grace, style and humor in navigating tumultuous, often racially-charged situations. I want to be Frankie when I grow up.A great read for anyone interested in African-american history, dance, or jazz.

I was fortunate to have met Frankie twice before I read the book. This gave me the face and voice to put the words to. As I read, it was as if Frankie was there talking to me with all the wit , humor and charm he has in person. Frankie's excitement in telling his stories makes you wish you could have been there with him. Frankie does a wonderful job of taking you through his life experiences in a way that you just can't put the book down. For me the book is about much more than dancing Lindy Hop. It's about how to live your life which is finding your passion and becoming the best, not to become famous or rich, but because it gives you purpose and that gives others inspiration. Thanks for putting Frankie's life into words. He is someone I wish my kids, grand kids and all future generations could have met. I hope this book soon becomes a movie so all the world can once again see Frankie Manning on the dance floor.

Certainly, every Lindy Hopper must read this book. But I think it's a beautiful and important book for people outside of the swing dance community too. Frankie Manning was an unsung hero. He and the other members of Whitey's Lindy Hoppers helped were instrumental in a dance that shaped and influenced our culture and our history.

This is a book every Lindy Swing Dancer should read. If you love Lindy, you should know the history, and most of all, know who Frankie Manning is!!!! I've bought one for each of my dance helpers as gifts of thank you. I got mine the day it was released!

Frankie Manning is a fascinating individual. I understand a lot more about swing dancing.

I made personally Frankie Manning and he is a sweet guy. Being myself a swing dancer, I enjoyed reading his unique journey through time. It is not a fiction, but a true view of swing dancing from a master. if you like the book like I did, read also books from Norma Miller (one of his partner). Thank you Frankie !!
