Libby Babbott-Klein is a producer and creative director with a focus on activist and political content. She ran the video department for Al Gore's Alliance for Climate Protection, launched a feminist jewelry line (Libby B.K.), and for over a decade she has been creating content that is rooted in social change and entertainment. Follow her on Twitter and Instagram @libby_bk.Jessica Walker is a multidisciplinary artist, illustrator, filmmaker, and educator. She is an assistant professor of fine arts at Parsons and has exhibited films, books, and 2D media in solo and group shows in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and Australia. Her work is housed in the permanent collections at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Research Library, Yale University Haas Family Arts Library, and the University of Washington Art Library.

In addition to being educational this book is so clever. The people featured in the book are great role models for all children and I love the activity of lifting the flap to see the baby. The art is beautiful and captures the essence of each person. We are buying this book for all our feminist friends.

This book is so stinking cute (and very timely). I love how diverse the group of people include were and my daughter is obsessed with "THE BABIES" which she screams as she opens every flap. She told me it's her favorite and we read every night. She loved it so much we actually bought 6 more to give to all of our neighborhood friends. HIGHLY recommend!!

Beautiful illustrations and a great intro to feminist icons. My little one loves the flaps and the repetition (she shouts “a baby!” as she lifts each flap). A great, thoughtfully made book for budding feminists.

The book title had me skeptical at first because I’ve seen similar books that aren’t terribly effective, but I had the opportunity to attend the author’s book reading and saw how much kids love Baby Feminists in person. The interactive component keeps them engaged and the inspirational feminists included in the book (like Ruth Bader Ginsberg, The Obamas and Billie Jean King) keep them learning. Considering how hard it is to find children books that feature a female protagonist, Baby Feminist is the most effective book I’ve seen when it comes to teaching young girls and boys that girls can grow up to accomplish great things.

This book is adorable. My 2 year old loves to lift the flaps and see the babies. My 4 year old likes the blurbs about each of the feminists on the last page. The Michelle and Barack Obama babies are both of their favorites. Definitely a must for all baby feminists.

This board book is exactly what I was looking for as a gift for my infant niece. Short, sweet and to the point which is perfect for a baby's attention span. This book obviously does not go into details about what these amazing women did but for me that is not the purpose. I just want my young niece to start to hear the names of these women and start to get a general idea that she too can do whatever she wants.

My 1yo is obsessed with this book and so am I. The artwork is absolutely stunning and the message is even more so. I love reading my kids books about strong feminists and I plan on gifting this to everyone from now until eternity.

The author Libby, truly did a phenomenal job with this book.I love the diversity, the illustration, the quality of the book and of course, the message. I shared it with my mother who was a teacher for 16 years. She said she loves the book and it should be in elementary, middle and high school writing classes. She said it’s a great example of how to write something simple yet effective.If you’re looking for a mentor text with a great message it’s the perfect book for you. I bought two!
