Wow! Another great read from Elliee Atkinson! Bobby and Tommy arrive in Ely badly wounded; Polly and her father work to help them. However, they are on the run...This story shows is that things are not always as they seem - and neither are people! The author writes a good old fashioned Western story complete with outlaws and clean romance. She shows us the town, the people, and the situation as it unfolds. It's nice to read this type of story!Read this story! You will enjoy it if you like a good old fashioned story. I can't wait for her next book!
This book will keep you both turning pages and on the edge of your seat to see what is going to happen. A well written book that I would recommend.
I received this as an ARC book, and am not obligated to post a review for this book. The review and opinions expressed are my own.Polly and her father, Doc Baker, were awaken in the middle of the night by two strangers in need of medical attention. They were twin brothers. One was unconscious and the other had been shot through the leg. Doc and Polly took care of the two men. Sheriff Nick Johnson came to the clinic just after the two arrived. He needed to question them. Bobby Elliott, the one shot in the leg felt safe with Polly and told her his story. Next he had to tell the sheriff what had happened and why he and his brother were being hunted down for murder. The sheriff left the men in the care of Doc Baker and went back to the jail to do some investigation on his own. Sheriff Jack Curtis and 3 of his deputies came to Ely the next day. They were the ones chasing the Elliott brothers. Meanwhile, the attraction between Polly and Bobby grew in the few days that she was caring for them. Sheriff Curtis questioned Sheriff Johnson, but couldn’t get information on the brothers. The truth comes to light when Sheriff Curtis shows his hand. Read to find the reasons behind the tragedy that came to the Elliott brothers. Great story of the goodness of people.
Doc Baker is the resident doctor. He is training his daughter to take his place when he is ready to retire. Polly loves her father and enjoys being a beginner doctor. one night she is awakened by thumps and noise. She goes down to her father, he has two patients and needs help. Tommy and Bobby Elliot, are identical twins and they are on the run. They have been accused of murdering Tommy's wife and children. They say they are innocent. Polly finds Bobby is good looking and seems nice.I was pleasantly surprised, this was an amazing book. It was full of action, bad guys and a town full of kind people. Jack Curtis was the sheriff of Dry Gulch, where the boys came from, he was trying to catch them and kill them. This story was fast paced, moved smoothly and was full of action. There are some surprises waiting along the tale. The characters are well developed, likeable and have depth. It keeps your interest and keeps your adrenaline up. I highly reccommend this wonderful book.I received this book from Amazon and voluntarily reviewed it.
In a way it was a lucky day when Bobby and Tommy came to Ely. The twin brothers were on the run for a crime they did not commit. Will the sheriff believe them? Polly the doctor’s daughter helps take care of them. This western romance looks at life for both the twins and Polly with action taken place. You will see what the outcome will be for these three people. Realistic in describing events that occurred I found this book to be a pleasure to read. I highly recommend it. I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it.
I loved this story! It is a wonderful read with great characters that were very well developed for the reader. Elliee Atkinson grabs you from the very beginning and keeps you turning the pages hoping and praying that all turns out well! Bobby and Tommy are twins on the run from a bad sheriff and his posse who has killed Tommy's wife and children. Polly, the Doctor's daughter, first meets them when Bobby is carrying / dragging Tommy into their clinic, because Tommy is hurt from being thrown from his horse and Bobby has a bullet hole in his leg.I do not like giving away a story, That is in the opening chapter! The story just gets better and has a lot of action and drama and of course suspense as you wonder what will be next! It is also a sweet love story, a book you will truly enjoy.
Can you imagine any man shooting and killing a wifeand mother of two? Tommy lost his family to someruthless killers. His twin Bobby was also devastatedby their murders.Now how are they going to prove it wasn't them whomurdered them? They know who did but who wouldbelieve them against a sheriff?The twins land in Ely and both are hurt. Polly and herfather the doctor do all they can to heal both of them.Bobby and Polly have eyes for each other instantly!Get this wonderful book and read or listen to it so thatyou can find out everything that happens to them, andto Polly. It's absolutely very interesting and exciting.I truly enjoyed the book and I recommend it to everyone!
Redemption For The Future Doctor's Love is another wonderful story set in Ely. This book has great, well-written characters. The people in Ely care for each other. They take the time to evaluate things rather than just believing anything they are told. Ms. Atkinson has outdone herself in writing her villain, Jack Curtis. There is a lot of drama in this fast paced story. If you are looking for an escape to the old west, I highly recommend this book.
